Thigh Toning Exercises

With thigh toning exercises, you can reshape your lower body – finally. And while you will also have to monitor your diet and add cardiovascular conditioning to your plan, choosing effective strength training exercises will improve the shape of your thighs almost magically. Here are three thigh toning exercises that can reshape your body as well as your life without requiring any equipment. Now all you have to do is, well, do them.

The most effective of all of the thigh toning exercises is the squat. It’s simple, it’s convenient, requires no equipment, and can be done anywhere. To perform this exercise, simply stand with your legs about shoulder’s distance apart and raise your arms in front of you for balance. Slowly lower your buttocks down, keeping your upper body straight – as though there were a string connecting your head to the ceiling. Hold your abdominal muscles in and lower down without having your knees pass your ankles. When you lower almost to a sitting position, slowly raise yourself back up.

The next best choice in thigh toning exercises is the lunge. This is a difficult exercise for any fitness level, but it targets the thighs and can quickly change the shape of your legs. Start in the standing position with your hands on your hips. Take one leg and step forward, careful to not step too far as to become unbalanced. Lower your body down when you have reached this position, making sure your front leg is bent at a ninety degree angle. To get out of this position, push off with the front leg’s foot and return to the standing position. Then switch legs and repeat. You can also do this exercise by stepping backwards if that’s easier for you.

Inner thigh toning exercises include the inner thigh lift. This is done by lying on one side of your body and bringing your top leg over your hip onto the floor in front of you. Lift the leg that’s on the floor a few inches to get the muscle resistance from those inner thigh muscles. You can also perform this exercise standing up, by holding onto a sturdy object and lifting one thigh in front of the other in a scissors like motion.

With thigh toning exercises, you can slim down your legs and create a smaller lower body. But while these exercises will help to build the muscle, diet and cardio exercise can help burn away the fat faster – unveiling your hard work.
