The right equipment

Gone are the days of strength training tips that focused on complicated pulley systems, newer technology has made it even easier to get in a strength training workout at home or on the road, if needs be.

Dumbbells and a weight bench are the standards of home or gym strength training. There is some need for adjustment due to the fact that all bodies are different, but overall weight training machines can be the easiest place for beginners to start.

The right weight

Many people believe that they need to start their training with a high weight in order to see results. However, if you want to workout arms and legs on opposing days, this is fine.

Slowing it down

One of the best strength training tips that are sure to help you succeed in your training is to slow down your repetitions. Many exercisers try to get through each repetition as fast as they can, allowing gravity to bring the weight down, rather than their muscles. Take the time to slow down each movement in order to feel the muscles working from beginning to end.

Some strength training tips suggest counting to two beats on the way up and into the weight lifting and then count two-to-four counts as you bring the weight back to the starting position.
