Add More Protein
One of the basic principles of many fat loss diet plans is to add more protein to your day. Even an ounce or two of protein with each meal has been shown to increase not only your satisfaction in the meal, but also the thermogenic burn for the day. Your body simply uses more energy to process protein because of its chemical structure.
This means that eating more protein adds up to more calories burned – even outside of the gym. Choose lean proteins, of course, to help eliminate unnecessary fat from your diet as well as to keep cholesterol levels from getting too high.
Add More Calcium
A new tip from many fat loss diet plans is to increase your calcium. It seems that studies are indicating calcium has something that increases the calorie burn in your body with each serving eaten. And by keeping up on your recommended daily allowance of calcium, you're also helping your body and bones remain strong.
You can add calcium in the form of two to three servings of low fat milk. If you are lactose intolerant, yogurt may be easier for you to digest, but there are also lactose free milks that you can drink.
Add More Meals
Contrary to popular belief, eating fewer calories is not a mainstay in fat loss diet plans. Too often, your body will begin to gain weight when you do this because it fears that it is starving. So, many newer plans are advising that you increase your daily meal count to six meals or so.
When you add more meals, albeit smaller in size than a traditional meal you're used to, this will create a calorie burn that will help to burn fat too.
