Is there one back fat exercise that can diminish the extra fat, or better yet, rid us of it altogether? Back fat is something that many of us wish would disappear on its own. It bulges through our clothing and seems to be impossible to get rid of.
Here’s the truth
While it is a great dream to spot-reduce an area of our body that we don’t like, the truth is that it generally doesn’t work like that. Just as we can’t seem to flatten our abs by crunches alone, there isn’t a back fat exercise that will make any unsightly rolls vanish. You need a better plan of attack.
Back fat is generally caused by a combination of things: lack of exercise as well as an increased number of calories taken in. It's means we simply have too much body fat!
And with the sedentary lifestyle of society as well as the increased demands on us in the workplace and at home, it’s no wonder we’re looking for an easy back fat exercise. But there are ways to sneak in fat trimming time.
When you’re at work
While this isn’t a back fat exercise, every calorie that you burn off can help to decrease your body’s overall fat content. When you’re at work, try to take some time to walk around more if you can. Take a short walk during your lunch hour or spend any other break times heading into the halls to move your legs and your body.
One of the biggest problems of work is the temptation to eat snacks. Instead, try to keep a stash of healthy snacks that will help you with a sort of back fat exercise discipline. Keep raisins or almonds at your desk to munch on. In fact, almonds have been shown to help dieters burn more fat – just don’t eat a whole bag; nine to twelve a day will do.
When you’re at home
If running around with the kids isn’t a back fat exercise option, try moving around more in general. Even housework can help to burn calories if you’re moving. Taking the laundry up and down the stairs can add up to miles walked over the course of a day.
While there isn’t a magical back fat exercise that can help reduce that problem area, increasing your overall activity as well as decreasing your calorie intake can put you on the path to a more shapely back.
